How to Invest in the Stock Market?

Are you ready to invest? You can begin with this simplified six-step procedure.
PSE has accredited hundreds of licensed brokers. You can select the type of service that best
suits your needs and preferences.

  1. Choose your broker.
  2. Online (COL Financial, First Metro, and Phil Stocks)
Online stock brokers communicate with their customers directly. Clients are in charge of
executing orders and have direct access to market data. COLF has received rave reviews for
being the best and most user-friendly online stockbroker platform. As of this writing, you can
begin funding your account for as little as P1,000.00.
  3. Traditional (Use a licensed broker or salesman to handle the account)
These are licensed salespeople who handle your account and take orders over the phone.
  4. Open a brokerage account in the stock market.
The COL Financial entry-level account costs P1,000. The forms are available for download
here. Fill out the forms and attach them to the requirements before mailing them. If you need
documents verified and approved quickly, you can visit their Ortigas office.
  5. Fund your account.
Online banking can be used to fund your account. When your application is approved, COL will
send you the bank information you need to fund your account. You have three months to fund
your account before it is activated.
You can fund your account through a bank deposit or by personally delivering the funds to your
    broker’s office.
  6. Place your buy or sell order with your stockbroker, either online or by phone.
Again, before you buy or sell, you should research the companies whose stocks you want to
buy. For starters, you can buy stocks on a regular basis with the same amount of money. Do this
if you intend to invest for the long term. It is the Peso-Cost average that allows you to grow your
    money over time.
  7. Keep track of your investments.
As you may want to track and monitor the progress of your stocks, investing is an ongoing
process. If you choose an online stock brokerage such as COL, you can access their website.
You have access to all of the information and data you require.
Hope this six-step procedure helps you with how you can start investing in the stock market.
Good luck on your investing journey
